A Combined–system Simulator for Mechatronic Systems
نویسندگان
چکیده
We discuss the development of a new algorithm for simulation of combined systems, that controls the traditional numerical integration process, such that time events and state events are handled efficiently and accurately. The algorithm is generic, i.e. independent of the used integration method. Furthermore, a new algorithm is developed to sort the equations automatically into four sections (static, initial, dynamic and output), to obtain a simulation model as fast as possible. Tests with a 6DOF robot model showed that the distribution of the equations among categories resulted in a performance increase of 4x. The more structured design using Object Oriented techniques, enables a structured and straightforward implementation of the simulator, resulting in a performance increase of 3x using the Van der Pol equation as a test case.

Omni directional mobile robots have been popularly employed in several applications especially in soccer player robots considered in Robocup competitions. However, Omni directional navigation system, Omni-vision system and solenoid kicking mechanism in such mobile robots have not ever been combined. This situation brings the idea of a robot with no head direction into existence, a comprehensi...
متن کاملExperiences with coupled simulation of mechatronic and electronic systems
Mechatronic as well as electronic systems are very often heterogeneous. Simulating the dynamic system behavior with a single system simulator is in principle possible but requires a considerable modeling effort. To support this approach, generalized KIRCHHOFFian networks [1], [2], [3] could be applied very successfully. But from the engineer‘s point of view it is much more convenient to model d...
